Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians, Inc.
Manila, Philippines

October 13, 2011

Dear Colleague (s),

Warm greetings from PAARL, Inc.!

The Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians, Inc. (Fully Engaged, Member-Driven Association) in cooperation with the National Library of the Philippines is pleased to invite you to attend the Association’s forum themed on: Library Personnel Productivity & Leadership 2011 with PAARLNet: Update & Upgrade. This professional activity will be held on
November 25, 2011 (Friday), from 8am to 12noon @ the Epifanio de los Santos Auditorium of the National Library of the Philippines.

PAARL celebrates, too, with the NLP and joins in the national celebration of the 77th National Book Week with this year’s theme: Aklatan Tungo sa Kaunlaran/Libraries for Progress.

The Association’s forum is part of a series aimed at achieving long-term objectives, namely:

a. To foster a new generation of leaders who are leaders throughout the organization;
b. To develop leaders who are fully trained in business management and marketing skills; and,
c. To produce leaders who respond not only to high demands of their clients but achieve and demonstrate a self-imposed type of social responsibility and productivity

If interested to receive free enhancement lessons through our invited resource person, reserve slots now. The forum is free to all 2011 members of PAARL, Inc. There is a registration fee of P350 for non-members and P200 for students to cover the snacks and certificates. Renewal and application of membership for 2011 are also encouraged.

We are also inviting representatives from our more than 100 institutional members to attend and be active players for an intense discussion about update & upgrade of PAARLNet.

For reservations and details, please contact the undersigned or any of the Association’s Officers and Directors. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,
Sonia Gementiza
